It's time to put to rest the age-old question:

Which is a better pairing for food -- beer or wine?

In honor of St. Louis Craft Beer Week, your resident St. Louis enthusiasts, STLwinegirl Angela Ortmann and Hip Hops' Evan Benn go head-to-head in a food pairing showdown to prove who provides the better match! With dishes prepared by Home Wine Kitchen's Chef Cassy Vires, each guest will be served one craft beer and one wine with courses of cheese, charcuterie and chocolate.

Votes will be calculated, a winner will be crowned and a gift basket filled with the beers, wines, treats and even a copy of Evan's book Brew in the Lou will be given away!

There will be two seatings for the showdown - 6pm and 8pm. The tasting will take about an hour and we invite you to enjoy dinner at Home Wine Kitchen before or after the event.

As an added benefit to partaking in the showdown, attendees will receive special pricing for dinner at Home Wine Kitchen that evening. Three courses of your choice (appetizer, entree, dessert) for only $35! With a menu that changes weekly, Chef Vires will be offering a beer focused menu in celebration of Craft Beer Week.
